My friend and I went here a few weekends ago when I was really in the mood for German food and I really enjoyed what I had! I had a really hard time deciding what to order, as everything looked really good to me, so I ended up getting the Stuffed Potato Dumplings and they were the best thing I've ever had! I ended up taking two of them home and eating them for dinner the next night; they were still really good after I heated them up. The service was great and our waitress was so nice and quick about bringing everything to us at a timely manner. Of course, as we were living, it was starting to get busy, so it appeared that we made good timing! I really hope to get back out there again and try something new!
My friend is a bit of a picky eater ((she even told me she never realized how picky she was until she read the name of an item...she didn't even read the description)), so she ended up getting one of the burgers and she really enjoyed it! She ended up taking home left overs as well. -

What a neat little Bavarian restaurant.
They have LOTS of imported tap beers.
We sat in the bar and got great service.
Started out with the wurst sampler. Very good sausages.
I had the pork hock (crispy) with kraut and red cabbage. The hock might have been the best I've ever had. The meat was super tender and the skin was crispy and fantastic.
Great job on all fronts! -

Truly bavarian restaurants are harder and harder to come by in the midwest these days. So anyone who purports to serve excellent German food has my business. This place is no exception. Great atmosphere, "ok" parking, and a convenient location.
The service was great.
The food... just ok. The soup was blah and the schnitzel was "ok" at best. I was truly disappointed by what I perceived as mediocre quality at least in comparison to other German places in Chicago. -

This is an excellent place to get German food. The service is great, the food is great... the prices are a little high but not bad. I don't know the owners personally, but they seem well versed in Bavarian cuisine. It can get busy though, so consider making a reservation.

Parking Not a Problem! You are allowed to park in the lot West of the restaurant, at that office parking lot. You will not get towed! Plenty of space-see attached photo! Don't let the wait for a table scare you-less time than they tell you. Grab a beer at the bar for the wait. Bartender very knowledgeable about beers-take his suggested beer, delicious! Great service and food!
